This paper encourages boards to regularly conduct self-evaluation exercises. Without conducting such an exercise, it is difficult for the board to gauge its strengths and weaknesses. The process of conducting a self-evaluation for board members is specified. The document then specifies how to process the results of the evaluation, and how to make improvements within the board of directors.
