This paper calls for a reviewing of how both countries in the Europrean Union, and aspiring member countries, define and implement the "Rule of Law," in pursuit of sustainability as defined in the Copenhagen criteria. The paper explores the limits and constraints on the current definition and implentation, and provide suggestions on how to improve in the future.
