Reengineering the Malaysian Public Service and the Use of Information Technology in Promoting Efficiency and Quality

This paper analyzes the use of information technology (IT) in Malaysia's pulblic service. The author illustrates how Malaysia has integrated IT in order to provide better customer service and delivery systems, streamlining organizational structures, enhancing accountability and strengthening cooperation with the private sector. Other elements of the integration of IT into the public service are discusses. The result has been a jump in efficiency and increased quality in government services.
