OECD Investment Policy Reviews: Malaysia

Public| Printed: Yes

This book investigates the investment climate in Malaysia. Malaysia is seen as an economic success story in Asia. Foreign direct investment (FDI) helped the country to diversify and develop an outward-oriented economic policy. However, investment has suffered since the Asian Financial Crisis and Financial Crisis of 2008. This policy review seeks to identify what Malaysia can do in order to attract more investment, and what other reforms are necessary to create an environment more conducive to investment. The country hopes such a review will be beneficial in helping to attract foreign and domestic investment.
